Traveling to Costa Rica with children is an excellent idea because this Central America country welcomes families like no other, and their values are really connected to family life and kids. We absolutely love it here for several reasons, which is why we've decided to build our very first eco-house here, which we're so excited about!!
Everyday we're asked an abundance of questions on what it's like to travel with kids. The first thought many parents have when it comes to traveling with their kids is the extra work it involves, and of course the potential for problems and uncomfortable situations along the way (yes we've had our fair share!!)
Did you know we love to Juice? It’s not hard to spot, really, and we had a great question posted on a comment on our Facebook page from Tiphanie CaRoline Rix, who said… “We love juicing and just bought a juicer. We wanted to juice 2 times a day, but found it VERY expensive!! We would buy $30-$40 worth of fruit & veggies at Costco and it would barely give us 2-3 days of juice! (We are 3 people and it barely gave us each 1 glass, twice a day) It's winter where I live, so no garden. Any suggestions on how to lower costs and get more juice out if it?” We do indeed Tiphanie!
One of the lessons we learned very early on, is that sometimes in life you have to take risks and just trust in blind faith that the universe has your
back and will come through for you. You also need a great deal of determination, a clear and present focus on your goals and desires and be willing
to take the actions required to achieve them.
In 2014 I did a talk for “Awesomeness Fest” held by MindValley where I shared my story of how we ended up here in Costa Rica as location independents - you can check out that video below…
In my last post I talked about the differences between Juicing and Blending, or in other words, making fresh juices, or smoothies. In this post we’re going to look at the different appliances that you can use to create these amazing, magical, natural potions for health and vitality. We love to use our Vitamix, which I’ll talk about in a moment, but there are lots you can choose from to get you started.
As a family we love juicing and making green smoothies, and we enjoy them every day and have done so for years. We often get asked about the difference between juices and smoothies, and if they’re the same. Basically they’re not, and I’ll explain why.
Living in a consumerist society often leads to living a life that's packed with stuff, from overstuffed closets to over filled junk drawers and stacked storage bins. Finding a path in life that's personally fulfilling really requires looking at your life more objectively and cutting away the things that aren't necessary, while actively looking to experience so much more of what life has to offer. Far too often, our possessions actually hold us back and limit our possibilities.
Here we are, 2016. I wanted to post this a little later in the year, because in January everyone is talking about their goals and we’re all really motivated, but nobody ever really brings them up later on in the year to remain accountable, often times, because nothing has really happened with them. It’s not too late!
