We make everything new!

I was in America a few weeks ago. First of all in Miami, and for the first time in my life I wore a suit. No flip-flops, no hoodie, no “throw something on quickly” – but a really nice blue suit. Shirt, tie, everything. I looked at myself in the mirror and thought: Who is that? And why do I like it so much? Because everything is new.

Back at home, things continued. I got a new haircut and dyed my hair. No big drama, no explanation. Just done. I also bought glasses. No need, no compulsion. I wanted to see what I would look like if I allowed myself to be different. To be new.
And it feels sooo good!

We make everything new.

Not out of spite. Not because we have to. No, just out of joy. Out of curiosity. Out of this wild desire to let go of things that we’ve been doing for years, simply because they’ve “always been that way”.

I think we underestimate how much fun change can be. Yes, it takes a bit of courage. Yes, you may have to go through the zone of uncertainty for a short time. But there’s something so beautiful waiting behind it: freedom. Movement. Fresh energy.

Changing doesn’t mean that the old was bad. It just means: I’m ready for more new things. More freedom. More me. More now.You don’t have to completely reinvent yourself. But trying things out is like breathing. Necessary. Healthy. Invigorating. It’s an act of self-respect to say: I give myself permission to be different from yesterday.

When you change, everything changes. The energy you radiate. The people you meet. The thoughts that emerge. Change is not a cosmetic trick. It moves real forces. It loosens entrenched patterns. It attracts new possibilities.

Energy wants to move. It wants to flow. If we give it space, it takes on new forms. Maybe it’s a new look. Maybe a new business. A new city. A different pace. A different language. A new tone of voice.

We no longer give old incrustations a chance. This clinging to habits, to masks, to self-images that no longer suit us – we are letting go. With pleasure.

Because what happens when you move even though the world stands still? You upset and confuse the system. The old matrix – this rigid network of expectations, routines and rules – doesn’t understand this. It twitches, it rattles, it loses track. And that’s a good thing.

Movement confuses the control system. Creativity disrupts the algorithm. Spontaneity scratches the varnish of the old order. We create unrest – and something real emerges from it. Sometimes people think that change must have a great purpose. But what if it’s not about meaning or benefit at all?

Change is an act of creation. You rebuild yourself. Not because you have to – but because you can. Because it’s right. Because you are alive.

I no longer believe in the “finished self”. This image that you create once in your life and then carry around forever like an old satchel. I believe in versions. In expansion. In courageous leaps. In radical honesty. Today I am that person. Tomorrow maybe someone else. And both are real. We make everything new – doesn’t mean we throw everything away. It means that we take what is alive and let the rest go. We free the future from the past.

And yes, sometimes it’s crazy. Suddenly you’re wearing a suit, even though you’ve always seen yourself as a flip-flop entrepreneur. Suddenly you look in the mirror and barely recognize yourself – and yet it feels more like you than ever before.

That’s not a contradiction. That is growth.

Change is not a goal. It is a path. A dance. An experiment. It is not linear, not clean, not always logical. But it is alive. So why not start today? Because movement is beautiful. Because new things are fun. Because life is too precious for repetition in endless mode.

We do everything anew. Not because we have to. But because we can. And because it’s our turn.
